Is Rest necessary when you have Scoliosis?
In my experience YES!
The energy spent to keep us upright is far more than people have to exert without scoliosis.
This is a good week to rest your back, so consider taking time to:
put your legs up a chair when it feels sore, tight or uncomfortable.
Take a few moments to breathe into your back before you start a task.
Remember:
Convex side benefits most from the exhale pulling toward the midline.
Concave side benefits most from the inhale expanding top to bottom.
Also, If you experience pain, rest is a great way to feel some relief. You are responsible for your own body. Hope you can rest well this week.
Warm regards, Teresa
